Build a Website with Weebly

Create a simple website with Weebly, a free web publishing tool. Basic Internet experience and an email account are required.

Solar Eclipse Livestream

August 21st,
10:45am to 3:30pm
For the first time since 1979 a total solar eclipse will be visible from the mainland United States. Here, about 80% of the sun will be covered by the passing moon. The best place in Illinois to view the total eclipse is near Carbondale ... or at Eisenhower.

During the eclipse, we'll be live streaming NASA's footage of the event. The agency will share images from spacecraft, aircraft, high-altitude balloons, and the International Space Station alongside coverage of eclipse events at parks, libraries, stadiums, festivals, and museums across the U.S.

Android Seminar

August 21st,

Learn how to use an Android device at your own pace! Watch tutorial videos and practice what you learn with an Android tablet. Then library staff will answer any questions.

Learn about how things work by taking them apart and exploring what's under the surface of everyday objects such as electronics, toys, gadgets, and more.

Celebrate Light it up: August by taking apart all kinds of lighting materials!

Pen and Ink Writers Group

The Pen and Ink Writers Group gathers on the third Monday of each month to read short stories, poems or essays, all inspired by a common theme. Build up your writing skills through practice, presentation and positive critique. This month's theme is BOREDOM.

Friends Book Sale
