After Hour Teen Time: The Water Horse and Circuit Anglerfish

We're keeping the library open after hours just for teens. Bring your friends to watch a movie, eat some pizza, and make a craft.

This month make a light up anglerfish after watching a lonely boy discover a mysterious egg that hatches into a sea creature.

Mo Willems' Pigeon Back to School

Celebrate the start of the school year with a new Mo Willems' Pigeon book, The Pigeon HAS to Go to School. There will be songs, snacks, and a craft.

Friends Book Sale

Pen & Paper Tabletop Adventure

Grades 4-6. Registration Required.

Grab your pencils and dice. We're going on an adventure without even leaving the library! Each week is a new story with new heroes in this bite size Dungeons and Dragons game.

Kids Knitting

Grades 4-6. Registration Required.

Join us for a beginners knitting class just for kids! Each week will build on different knitting skills to complete a simple project. Registration is for all three days. Class size is limited. This is a Workshop program and waivers must be completed in order to complete registration.

Pen and Ink Writers Group

The Pen and Ink Writers Group gathers on the third Monday of each month to read short stories, poems or essays, all inspired by a common theme. Build up your writing skills through practice, presentation and positive critique.

Trees for Climate Change

Join Openlands, the Morton Arboretum, and the University of Illinois Extension to learn the value of trees in a time of climate change. The U.S. Climate Report will be available along with information on tree replacement programs in Norridge and Harwood Heights.

Anonymous Teen Writers
