RSVP Tax Assistance

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of West Suburban Cook and Southern DuPage Counties, sponsored by Triton College, offers Tax Counseling for the Elderly, a free program for individuals age 60 and older from low to moderate income households.

Appointments will be taken starting on January 28th. For an appointment, call the RSVP Office at 708-456-0300 x3895.

Leo's Little Artists

Part of Leo's Little Explorers. In true Leonardo Da Vinci fashion, we'll explore the worlds of math, science, art, and literacy. This week, we'll examine the concept of shapes through art. This program is ideal for those attending half day kindergarten.

Modern Times Film Series: Avengers: Infinity War

Teen Music Club

Excel 2016 Series

Bus Trip: Ma Rainey's Black Bottom at Writers Theater

$40.00 - In August Wilson's classic play, what begins as a routine recording session becomes more strained as tensions rise between the members of a blues band and the owners of the recording studio. Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books challenges students in grades four through six to become familiar with literature. Comprehension and retention are put to the test in a Jeopardy style battle between the teams.

Area schools create their own teams and gather at the library to compete in a five-week battle on questions derived from selected books. See your school's Battle Coach to sign up.

Deliciously Fictitious Book Club: The Secret, Book & Scone Society

Join us every other month in Fannie's Cafe to discuss culinary-themed mysteries and sample delicious recipes pulled from the pages of the books.

This month's book will be The Secret, Book & Scone Society by Ellery Adams.

Nora Pennington has a special talent: prescribing the perfect novel to lighten a reader's burdens. But when a businessman is found dead before keeping his appointment, Nora forms the Secret, Book, and Scone Society to solve the murder.

Books are available to borrow at the Library Services Desk one month before each meeting.

Learn to Paint

Anonymous Teen Writers
