Teen Game Night

Don't be "board" during summer vacation. Come by Eisenhower each month this summer for a night of board and card games in the Teen Space. Bring your friends for a round of Apples to Apples, Exploding Kittens, or Ticket to Ride. Have another game you'd like to play? Bring it along or ask at the Answers Desk and we'll try to get it.

Cut the Cable: Intro to Options

Get an overview of cable alternatives and learn why cable may still be your best option. We'll look at broadcast channels through antenna, cable boxes (without a cable subscription), and the basics of internet streaming devices.

Wired: Turn on the Light!

Grades 5-6. Registration Required.

Get a charge out of electricity? Come and experiment with circuits. Design and build a working lamp to take home.

Learn the Embroidery Machine

Garden Club: Herbal Tea Infusions

Herbal infusions use a larger amount of herbs than a traditional tea and offer a higher dose of vitamins and minerals. Sheila Duda from Tea Lula shows you how to infuse your favorite teas with herbs to make beautiful, healthy concoctions.

Preschool Playtime

Looking for a play destination this summer? Come see what creative fun we are offering for little ones and their caregivers. We'll rotate activities to keep things interesting. Children under the age of seven must be attended by a parent or caregiver.

Pixel Power

Art goes 8-bit! Bring digital art to the real world and make your very own pixel creation. Be completely original, or use one of the many pattern that will be available.

Anonymous Teen Writers

Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

What kind of web site do you want to make? What are the costs involved? How does a website work, anyway? In this two-part series, learn about different types of sites and their associated costs as well as options for making a site yourself or hiring help.

Bus Trip: Lincoln Park Zoo

$20.00 - Meet Preston, Dudley, Mendela and the rest of the African penguins living in the Zoo's all new Penguin Cove.
