Garden Club Event: DIY Homemade Gardener's Hand Scrub

Gardening is fun, but it can be rough on the hands! Take a break from the sun and soil, learn how to make luxurious hand/body scrubs with everyday ingredients you probably have in your kitchen. In this informal, hands-on class, Jill Angelo (author of Sacred Space), shows you how to craft an all-natural scrub with herbs and essential oils. Bring paper and pen.

Registration begins May 1 for residents of Norridge and Harwood Heights with a valid library card. All others may register beginning May 8.

Preschool Playtime

Kids Create: Out of the Box Town

Ages 6-9. Registration required.

Design and create your favorite type of building. Will it be a house, a shop, a service station? We'll have ideas to get you started and cardboard, templates, and craft supplies. If you like, make furnishings or little people too. Afterward, take your building home for more making and playing. Parents and caregivers are welcome to participate with their child(ren).
