Drop-In Polish Family Storytime

Drop-In Toddler Storytime

Ages 18-35 months, Join us for fingerplays, songs, and fun! Storytime will last for 45 minutes to an hour depending. Child must be the appropriate age to participate. Sign in at the Kids World desk. Science Ka-frizzle!

Grades 2-4. Registration required.
Priority for children's programs go to residents of Norridge and Harwood Heights.

 We'll mix solutions, transfer energy, and inspire flight. Hypothesize and experiment, aiming for a Ka-frizzle! and not merely a fizzle. For the aspiring scientists (or those who enjoy sending things through the air) in grades 2 to 4. Science can be messy, so come dressed accordingly.

Kids Chess Open Play

July 6th,
5:00pm to 8:45pm
Ages 12 & under. Drop in. Check out a chess set from the Kids Desk and play away the evening here in Kids World. We will facilitate matching players but the play will not be staff supervised; children under age 7 must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times in the library. Parents are welcome to play as equipment allows.

Gardening Club

Join us on the first Wednesday of every month to talk about bulbs, bushes, berries and begonias. We'll discuss everything from window boxes to victory gardens.

Anonymous Teen Writers

Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

Cut the Cable: Intro to Options

Want to know what other options for TV access are out there besides cable? The program provides an overview of cable alternatives and discusses why cable may still be your best option. Covers broadcast channels through antenna, cable box (without the cable subscription) and a basic intro to internet streaming devices.

Introduction to Robotics with Ozobot

Ozobot is a miniature smart robot that can be programmed to follow lines and detect colors. Your students will learn about robotics and programming in this hands-on, playful introduction.

Mini Comic Con
