Anonymous Teen Writers

Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

Fighting for Freedom: A Boy at War - Author Julian Kulski presents The Color of Courage

As a teenager during WWII, Julian Kulski was a soldier in the Polish Resistance Home Army and a commando in the 1944 Warsaw Uprising. Mr. Kulski presents a 20-minute documentary excerpt followed by a discussion of his fascinating personal story. Copies of his book, Fighting for Freedom: a Boy at War, will be available to purchase.

Friends' Last Chance Bag Sale

What a deal! At the Friends' Last Chance Bag Sale, fill a brown bag with as many books as you can. Bags will be available to purchase at $2.00 for Friends of the Library Members and $3.00 for non-members.

This will be the last time these particular books will be available to buy. After the sale, any leftover books will be donated to other organizations or recycled. For the best selection at an incredible price, make sure to visit early.

Voter Registation Day

If you aren't registered, you can't vote. Make sure your voice is heard. Stop in throughout the day to register to vote or update your address. Please bring two forms of ID, one of which includes your current Cook County address.
