Preschool Playtime

July 1st, 2:30pm to 3:30pm
Birth - 12. Come see what creative fun we are offering for little ones and their caregivers each Monday and Wednesday afternoon, in the Storytime Room. We will rotate activities and materials such as blocks, puppets, cartoons, games and such to help you keep things interesting for these long, lazy days of summer. Preschool Playtime will not be staff supervised. Per library policy, children under the age of 7 must be attended by a parent or caregiver age 14 or older at all times while in the Library. This is a drop in program (no registration required).

Anonymous Teen Writers

July 2nd, 4:00pm to 5:30pm
Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

Drop-in Big Kids Storytime

July 2nd, 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Join us for stories, songs, and fun! Storytime will last for 45 minutes to an hour depending. Child must be between kindergarten and 2nd grade to participate. Sign in at the Kids World desk. Priority for children's programs is given to residents of Norridge and Harwood Heights. Be sure to check out our storytime guidelines.

Drop-in Junior Storytime

July 3rd, 10:00am to 11:00am

Join us for stories, fingerlays, songs, and fun! Storytime will last for 45 minutes to an hour depending. Child must be between 3 and 5 years in age to participate. Sign in at the Kids World desk. Mobile Gaming Club

July 3rd, 3:00pm to 4:30pm
Team up with other mobile gamers to battle, craft, and more! Bring your own tablet, phone, Nintendo 3DS, or Playstation Handheld, along with your games to play with other local gamers. Don't forget your charger to make the fun last even longer. Grades 2-6. Drop In.

Modern Times Film Series: The Theory of Everything

The Modern Times Film series showcases new additions to the library's movie collection. Join us this month for The Theory of Everything, the extraordinary story of renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking and his wife Jane defying the odds, breaking ground in medicine and science, and achieving more than they could have ever dreamed.
