Kids Yoga

July 9th,

Ages 7-10. Registration Required.

Enjoy yoga at the library with a registered yoga teacher. This program focuses on yoga and integrative learning with storytelling. Yoga mats are provided.

Registration starts May 25 for residents of Norridge and Harwood Heights. All others may register beginning June 1st. Priority for Kids World programs goes to residents of Norridge and Harwood Heights.

Excel 2016 Series

July 9th,
6:00pm to 8:00pm
In this three-part class, learn the basics, intermediate skills, and advanced skills of making spreadsheets with the latest version of Excel.

Adult Book Discussion: The Dogs of Littlefield

This month's Adult Book Discussion book will be The Dogs of Littlefield by Suzanne Berne.

Littlefield, MA, named one of the Ten Best Places to Live in America, is proud of its schools, its leafy streets, and charming village center. Yet no sooner has sociologist Dr. Clarice Watkins arrived to study the elements of "good quality of life" than someone begins poisoning the town's dogs.

With an element of suspense, social commentary, and in-depth character portraits, Suzanne Berne's novel reveals the discontent behind the manicured lawns and picket fences of suburbia.

Teen Music Club

Musicians of all levels in grades 7-12 are invited to hang out with friends and geek out about music. During each session, we'll talk about music, write songs, learn some instruments, and make recordings in the Workshop studio. Bring your ideas, instruments, and friends.

Page to Screen Book Club: The Prestige

Preschool Playtime

Ages 3 - 5 with parent or caregiver. Drop-in.

Play date! Come see what creative fun we are offering for little ones and their caregivers. We'll offer a few engaging pre-literacy activities each week with a focus on play.

Priority for Kids World programs goes to Norridge and Harwood Heights residents. Siblings under 3 or over age 5 may also participate.

Anonymous Teen Writers

Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.
