Anonymous Teen Writers

April 19th,
4:00pm to 5:30pm
Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

Drop-in Big Kids Storytime

Let's "Sing, talk, read, write, and play" together. No need to register, just check-in at the Kids World Desk 30 minutes before class begins.

Kids Create: Milk Carton Bird Feeders

Volunteer Fair

Looking for interesting volunteer work and a chance to give back to your community? Come to the library to discover not-for-profit and service organizations that are looking for your help. We are bringing together organizations from the city and suburbs to help you find the perfect volunteer opportunity. By sharing your time and talents you can make a difference in your community.

Rug Hooking Demonstration

Get inspired by watching rug hookers at work, and seeing their finished products. Then, register to get started on your own rug on May 29th or 31st.

U Make: Milk Carton Bird Feeders

Let's enjoy spring with your very own milk carton bird-feeder! You will be able to cut your milk carton and design it however you want.

Know Your Matcha Tea

What's the difference between the matcha mix you buy at the grocery store and true high-grade matcha? Sheila Duda from Tea Lula will mix different grades of matcha and show you!

Crazy Eights Math Club - Season 2

Join Bedtime Math's Crazy 8s, a totally new kind of math club where you'll build stuff, toss beach balls, make amazing mazes and more! You'll have a blast with mischief-making activities like Beach Ball Party, Funny Money and Glow-in-the-Dark City. Registration is for all eight weekly classes.

Musicians of all levels in grades 7-12 are invited to hang out with friends and geek out about music. During each session, we'll talk about music, write songs, learn some instruments, and make recordings in the Workshop studio. Bring your ideas, instruments, and friends.
