Modern Times Film Series: A Quiet Place

Teen Music Club

4:00pm to 6:00pm
Musicians of all levels in grades 7-12 are invited to hang out with friends and geek out about music. During each session, we'll talk about music, write songs, learn some instruments, and make recordings in the Workshop studio. Bring your ideas, instruments, and friends.

Adult and Teen Take Apart Lab

7:30pm to 8:30pm
Learn about how things work by taking them apart and exploring what's under the surface. This month, we'll take apart radio devices!

Page to Screen Book Club: The Manchurian Candidate

Every month the Page to Screen Club watches a movie and discusses the book from which it was adapted.

This month we'll watch The Manchurian Candidate after reading the novel by Richard Condon. Copies of the book are available at the Library Services Desk one month before the screening. 1962. PG-13. 2h 6m.

Anonymous Teen Writers

Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

Kids Yoga

Ages 8-12. Registration Required

Enjoy Yoga at the library with a registered yoga teacher. This program focuses on yoga and integrative learning with storytelling. Yoga mats are provided.

Mysterious Myanmar

Brian Michalski had no idea where Myanmar was before his backpacking journey around the world. It ended up a favorite  destination due to its untouched natural beauty, rich history, creative cuisine, and generous locals. Come along on this photo-rich adventure exploring a Southeast Asian gem.

Coding for Teens

Learn to code with Scratch, a visual coding platform to create interactive games, stories, and animation. For beginning Scratch users in grades 7-12.

Silent Film Festival

For the first time in twenty years, an entire year's worth of movies are entering the public domain. In 2019, works first published in 1923 will become free to creatively re-edit, adapt, or screen publicly. We're celebrating with screenings of 1923's best silent features interspersed with shorts.

Friends Book Sale

Bus Trip: Halim Time and Glass Museum

$40.00 - The Halim Time & Glass Museum is a world class collection of historic timepieces, stained glass windows, and decorative arts. Permanent exhibits include the American Stained Glass Masters, The Louis Comfort Tiffany Gallery and Clocks of the World.
