Cleopatra Herself

Cleopatra, the Last Pharaoh of Egypt, was the most famous female ruler in history. Her story is more amazing and incredible than a fiction author could imagine! As Cleopatra herself, living history performer Martina Mathisen shares her astounding story, audacious spirit, and astonishing guile.

Classic Film Series: Madigan

Bring Your Own Book Club

Modern Times Film Series: Pavarotti

Three Chords & the Truth: Slightly More than Basic Guitar

If you already know a few guitar chords and can move between chords, join Lance Anderson to learn about tabs and rhythms. We'll play songs as a group in every session. Registration is for all six sessions.

Bus Trip: Tour the Robert McCormick House at Cantigny Park

$45.00 - Take a guided tour through the stately mansion on the grounds of Wheaton's Cantigny Park, once the home of Chicago Tribune publisher Robert R. McCormick. Enjoy lunch from Le Jardin in the Visitors Center. After lunch, explore the park's extensive trails, relax in the formal gardens, or discover U.S. Army history at the First Division Museum. Lunch is included in registration price. (Please choose from Grilled Cheese, BLT Wrap or Tuna Salad on a croissant.) Please be aware that there will be walking involved in the house tour.

Finding Inner Peace and Calm Through Meditation

Join Zelma Chamberlain, long time meditator, for this deep and engaging meditation workshop. Zelma will talk about her journey to find lasting peace, happiness, and a greater sense of well-being, and will share a simple technique of spiritual meditation.

Summer! Eat Seasonally and Locally

Farmer's Markets begin in June, and offer a  great variety of local produce.  Camille Stagg will review crops and their usual harvest times.From berries and herbs to sweet corn, lettuce and other greens, peppers, tomatoes, summer squash and  more, she will offer tips on storing and preparing.
