Basic Computer Literacy Series

Learn the basics of using a computer with this three-part Computer Literacy Series. A great start for beginners.

Antique Appraisals with Mark Moran

Antique expert Mark Moran returns to Eisenhower to appraise your antiques. One item per person, please. No weapons, traps, Nazi memorabilia, fine jewelry, Beanie Babies, or money.

AARP Driver's Safety Course

AARP's Class is an excellent way for drivers over 50 to learn defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, and rules of the road. There are no tests to take, and participants are entitled to a discount on their car insurance upon completion. $15 for AARP members. $20 for non-members. Payable by check on the first day of class.

Crazy 8s Math Club

September 18th,
4:30pm to 5:45pm
Grades K-2. Registration required (for the full eight weeks)

Join Bedtime Math's Crazy 8s Club to build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess . it's a totally new kind of math club. You'll get to do mischief-making activities like Glow-in-the-Dark Geometry, Bouncy Dice, and Toilet Paper Olympics. You'll take home cool gadgets, too.

Registration is for all eight classes; note that there is no class October 2nd.

Pen and Ink Writers Group

September 18th,
7:00pm to 9:00pm
The Pen and Ink Writers Group gathers on the third Monday of each month to read short stories, poems or essays, all inspired by a common theme. Build up your writing skills through practice, presentation and positive critique. This month's theme is LIMP.

Modern Times Film Series: Hacksaw Ridge

The Modern Times Film series showcases new additions to the library's movie collection.

This month's movie will be Hacksaw Ridge, starring Andrew Garfield as Army Medic Desmond T. Doss, the first man in American history to receive the Medal of Honor without firing a shot. Rated R. 2h 19m.

Knitting Circle

Join us each month for an afternoon of knitting and crocheting over tea and coffee. No need to register, just show up with your needles and hooks and craft away!

Kids Yoga

September 19th,
4:30pm to 5:30pm
Ages 7-10 Registration Required (One session per family)

Enjoy Yoga at the library with a registered yoga teacher. This program focuses on yoga and integrative learning with storytelling. Yoga mats are provided.

Take-Apart Lab: Adult and Teen

For adults and teens in grades seven and up.

Learn how things work by taking them apart and exploring what's under the surface. This month we'll take apart clocks and watches.

Kids Write Away

Grades 4-6. Registration required.

Bring your creativity and get ready to devote an hour to your imagination. We will provide pens, paper, and exercises to flex your inspiration and practice your craft. Let's write away!

Anonymous Teen Writers

Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

Dig Those Dinosaur Bones!

Grades K-6th grade. Registration Required.

Do you know your dinosaurs inside and out? We'll explore the world of dinosaur bones and fossils by taking an "under the skin" look at how dinosaurs moved and then use household items to build awesome dinosaur skeletons.
