Let's Play: Lego®

Ages 4-12. Kids under 7 must bring an adult.

Get ready to explore, play, and learn with Lego®.

In-person and phone registration for kids programs begins Monday, August 5th for Norridge and Harwood Heights residents with valid library cards. Online registration for everyone starts August 12th. Priority for Kids World programs goes to Norridge and Harwood Heights residents.

Family Fireplace Photo Day

December 1st,
11:00am to 4:30pm
The beautiful fireplace in our Quiet Room will serve as a backdrop for family photos and a photographer will provide you with a digital photo for your holiday cards. Photos will be limited to a maximum of three poses. Pets are welcome during morning time slots only.

Build a Gingerbread House

December 1st,
1:30pm to 3:30pm
$5.00 For this event only please register by November 18th. Marta from Oak Mill Bakery will help you create the perfect holiday gingerbread house. Gingerbread and decorations included.

Crochet Class

December 4th,
3:00pm to 5:00pm
$5.00 -  This project is for those with basic crochet skills. The registration fee covers the cost of yarn, crochet hook, and project guide. This class is for adults and teens in 7th grade and up.

Wine Primer

December 4th,
6:30pm to 8:00pm
Camille Stagg, food-and-wine journalist, will offer a primer on wines including major classifications (table, aperitif, sparkling and dessert); tasting tips; proper storage and serving; wine as an ingredient, and food pairings. Must be over 21.

Don Giovanni at the Lyric Opera

December 5th,
12:00pm to 7:00pm

Filled with thrilling music and drama, including a finale so overpowering that it changed music forever, Don Giovanni is justly celebrated as the perfect opera. Bring money for snacks at the Lyric.

Medical Marijuana

FloraMedex is a state-licensed medical marijuana clinic located in Elmwood Park. Kirsten Velasco will answer your questions about state licensing, how to get a medical marijuana card and what medical marijuana can and cannot do.

The Elvis Holiday Show

Silverscreen to Mainstream at the Chicago History Museum

January 10th,
9:00am to 3:00pm
$25.00 Showcasing fashions from Paris, New York, Chicago, and Hollywood, Silver Screen to Mainstream tracks how Hollywood's glamorous reach extended to all classes in the 1930s through the 1940s. This is a self-explored exhibit, so plan on exploring other facets of the museum, too. Bring money for lunch at the North and Clark Cafe located in the museum.
