Learn the Carvey: Engraved Bookmark

January 8th,

The Carvey machine engraves, carves, or cuts flat materials like wood, plastic, and metal. Learn the basics of the Carvey's software and create a personalized wooden bookmark. Adults and teens 7th grade and up.

3rd - 5th Grade Graphic Novel Club

Play date! Come see what creative fun we are offering for little ones and their caregivers. We'll offer a few engaging pre-literacy activities with a focus on play. Siblings under three or over age five may also participate.

Deliciously Fictitious Book Club: Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder

Join us every other month in Fannie's Cafe to discuss culinary-themed mysteries and sample delicious recipes from the pages of the books.

This month's book selection will be the Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke. Take one amateur sleuth. Mix in some eccentric Minnesota locals. Add a dollop of suspense, and you've got the recipe for this delicious new mystery series featuring Hannah Swensen, the red-haired, cookie-baking heroine whose penchant for solving crime is definitely stirring things up.

Anonymous Teen Writers

Scale Model Club

Bus Trip: Silverscreen to Mainstream at the Chicago History Museum

$25.00 - Showcasing fashions from Paris, New York, Chicago, and Hollywood, Silver Screen to Mainstream tracks how, in the 1930s and '40s, the reach of Hollywood's costume designers extended across the globe. This is a self-explored exhibit, so plan on visiting other facets of the museum, too. Bring money for lunch at the museum's North and Clark Cafe.

Storytimes offer great opportunities for kids in the proper grade range to learn and have fun. Big Kids Storytime is specifically designed for children who are in kindergarten through second grade.
