Learn the Sewing Machine

Learn the basics of threading the machine and using a simple stitch.

T-Rex Tea Party

Ages 12 & Under. Registration Required.

Children and their families are cordially invited to have tea with a T-Rex. We'll serve tea and snacks while you take a close-up look at a life-sized Tyrannosaurus Rex skull on loan from the Field Museum. Space is limited!

Face the Music and Dance

Jazz singer Petra van Nuis and guitarist Andy Brown will play dance-themed music guaranteed to get your toes tapping.

Veteran Photo Submissions

October 1st (All day) to November 30th (All day)
Honor the Veteran or Active Soldier you know by submitting their service information for our Local History Veteran Display. Our annual Veteran wall is on display during the month of November in Kids World.

Look for submission forms at any library service desk. Please bring in an original photograph of the veteran/soldier. We will immediately scan the image while you wait, and return the original back to you.

Crazy 8s Math Club - Season One

Grades K-2. Registration Required (for the full eight weeks)

Join Bedtime Math's Crazy 8s Club to build stuff, run and jump, make music, make a mess. It's a totally new kind of math club. You'll get to do mischief-making activities like Glow-in-the-Dark Geometry, Bouncy Dice, and Toilet Paper Olympics. You'll take home cool gadgets, too.

Garden Club

Join us on the first Wednesday of every month to talk about bulbs, bushes, berries and begonias. We'll discuss everything from window boxes to victory gardens.

Beginning Knitting

Anonymous Teen Writers

Writers in grades 7 - 12 are invited to join in on a weekly hour and a half of socializing, discussion, and, of course, writing! Share your poems and stories in a supportive space or listen to others read.

Friends Book Sale Preview

This special preview book sale, organized by the Friends of the Eisenhower Library, is open only to members of the Friends group. Annual, individual memberships are $5.00 and will be available at the door.
