Road resurfacing has begun in earnest along Oketo and Wilson. Plan to arrive a little early when coming to the library for programs over the next few days.
The Wilson Avenue entrance and drive-up book drop will be closed next week during road construction. We expect the Wilson driveway to be blocked from April 5th through April 9th.
We'll be closed for Easter on Sunday, April 1st. Have a great holiday and we'll see you on Monday.
All of our computers will be undergoing maintenance on Thursday, March 29th and will be unavailable for public use. During this time, printing will also be unavailable. Our photocopiers will be working but charges will have to be paid using cash. Wi-Fi will be unaffected.
To preserve patron privacy, we're moving our holds shelf out of public view. Ask for your reserved books, movies, music, and other library materials at the Library Services Desk.
Tomorrow morning, in the wee hours of March 21st between 3:00 and 9:00 AM, our catalog will be down while it undergoes some updates. You might notice some changes to the catalog before then. During the downtime, you will be unable to search for library items, place holds, or access your account. We apologize for any inconvenience. Hopefully you'll be asleep then.
We have requested forms from the IRS and expect them to arrive by February 12th. While we're waiting for shipments, links to printable versions of some of the most requested forms have been collected on our dedicated tax page.
Our Urban Exploration program this Sunday, January 28th, has unfortunately been canceled. The flu has taken it's toll on Adam Selzer and he will be unable to tell us all about the history of Chicago's underground and abandoned places. Check back for a rescheduled date soon.
