Congratulations goes out to all the teams for their efforts during Practice Battle. The scores from the Practice Battle do not count towards the running total that determines the overall winner of Battle of the Books; however, we hope the experience of playing in the Practice Battle helps clear up some of the confusion about what will be expected for the official Battles.
As a reminder, all Battle participants should be in their teams’ squares by 4:00 PM if they are to play in round one. If you are late, you may not join your team during round one. However, take a seat on the sidelines as players may be added or switched out before rounds two and three. In addition, a lot of warnings were issued during Practice Battle. Be cautious of talking between questions in order to avoid the possibility of losing points. Unsportsmanlike conduct can also result in warnings and/or deduction of points, so please no grandstanding or heckling.
Now for the results of everyone’s hardwork! Please note: this does not reflect the results of the challenge made during the Speed Round. The results of that challenge will be discussed before the next Battle.
See everyone back on Wednesday for Battle one!
