Anticipating the Books of 2017

The new year has barely started and I’m way behind on reading the best books of 2016 but I’m already planning a list of the books I’m looking forward to in 2017.

Human Acts by Han Kang
From the Man Booker International Prize-winning author of  last year’s The Vegetarian, Human Acts is already a massive hit in Korea. Set to be published on January 6th, you can place a hold in the library catalog now.

Celine by Peter Heller
A nonfiction writer who, over the last few years, has made a name for himself as a fiction writer with The Dog Stars and The Painter, Peter Heller’s upcoming book is a detective novel set in Yellowstone National Park. Expected on March 7th. Place a hold now.

Into The Water by Paula Hawkins
The next murder-mystery from Paula Hawkins, author of the runaway bestseller, The Girl on the Train. Set for publication in May.

Our Little Racket by Angelica Baker
This debut novel about wealth, envy, and secrets tells the story of five women whose lives are dramatically changed by the downfall of a financial titan. Look for it in June.

Heather, The Totality by Matthew Weiner
The creator of the TV series Mad Men is entering the world of literature with a much anticipated novel, due to be published in November.

Categories: Adults.
