Be a Star in a READ Poster

This November are celebrating everyone’s favorite book!

This year patrons from newborns to 12 year olds are invited to take a photo with their favorite book. To participate, simply fill out our online form. You will then get the option to either email the Library the photo or to upload a photo using your personal google account.

Within a week, library staff will transform the photo into a poster that will hang in the Kids department throughout the month.

Starting December 1st, patrons are invited to come to the desk to pick up the poster to take home.

Here are a few camera tricks for getting the best possible poster:

  1. Use a background that is solid in color- like a blank wall.
  2. Take the photo from the waist up. (This might not be possible for babies, and that’s okay!)
  3. Take the photo straight on at eye level, not at an angle.
  4. Be sure the book is clearly seen. The book can be open or closed. Just be sure that the cover is facing the camera if possible.
