Billboard’s Hot 100 of 1973: Kodachrome

There Goes Rhymin' Simon

A lot of great music topped the charts during 1973, our founding year. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Eisenhower Public Library every other Sunday with selections from Billboard Magazine’s Hot 100 Singles.

“Kodachrome” by singer-songwriter Paul Simon was the lead single from his third studio album, There Goes Rhymin’ Simon. The song is named after Kodak’s now-discontinued reversal film. The album received two nominations at the Grammy Awards of 1974, including Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male and Album of the Year.
