Whirligigs are hand-turned or wind-driven devices that can be toys, works of folk art, or garden ornaments. Peter Gelker hand carves and paints these whirligigs continuing a tradition that has existed for more than 500 years. Join us for a docent-led tour of the exhibit and spend time exploring the museum. Buy your own lunch at a nearby restaurant.
Registration begins November 7th for Norridge and Harwood Heights residents with a valid library card. All others may register beginning November 14th. To register visit the Answers Desk or call 708-867-2299. Registration will not be guaranteed until the registration fee is paid.
