May is Jewish American Heritage Month, and with it, we celebrate the impact Jewish Americans have had on the United States.
Some big names include Albert Einstein (theoretical physicist), Ruth Bader Ginsburg (Supreme Court Justice), Harry Houdini (magician and escape artist) as well as Hans and Margret Rey (the authors of Curious George). The Jewish culture and history is well represented in Eisenhower’s Kids World collection of fiction in both picture book and chapter book formats as well as in our nonfiction titles. So whether you are delving your family’s own roots or exploring a culture you are unfamiliar with, we’ve got some great books to share!
As part of this month long celebration, a selection of great books have been assembled for your online browsing pleasure, but do stop in the Library, we have even more books to recommend!
