The Special Meeting of the Eisenhower Public Library District Board of Trustees December 11, 2025.

CALL TO ORDER

President Magnelli called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

ROLL CALL

Present: Ringelstein, Magnelli, Magnuson, Krebs, Ross, Parent (7:08 P.M.).
Also Present: Bacarella and Director Wittmann.

RECOGNITION OF VISITORS

There were no visitors present.

PUBLIC COMMENT

There were no public comments. 

SPECIAL MEETING

Selection of person to fill a public office, as defined in this Act, including a vacancy in a public office—Closed Session—
A motion was made by Trustee Ross, Seconded by Trustee Magnuson, TO CONVENE CLOSED (EXECUTIVE) SESSION 5ILCS 120/2 (C) (3) AT 7:04 P.M. TO DISCUSS THE SELECTION OF A PERSON TO FILL A PUBLIC OFFICE, AS DEFINED IN THIS ACT, INCLUDING A VACANCY IN A PUBLIC OFFICE. A roll call vote was taken and the results were as follows: AYES Magnuson, Magnelli, Ringelstein, Ross, Parent, Krebs. NAYS None. ABSENT None. The motion carried.

A motion was made by Trustee Parent, seconded by Trustee Magnuson, TO RECONVENE THE REGULAR MEETING AT 7:47 P.M. A roll call vote was taken and the results were as follows: AYES Magnuson, Magnelli, Ringelstein, Ross, Parent, Krebs. NAYS None. ABSENT None. The motion carried.

Trustee Vacancy—
There is one more interview next Thursday, November 18, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. The Board meeting will start at 6:55 P.M.

Other Business—
Trustee Parent suggested that it would be beneficial for the Board to hold a retreat. He proposed developing a Board agreement that would outline mutually agreed upon expectations for all members. By discussing these expectations together, the Board could reach consensus and document them so that no one is caught off guard in the future. A retreat, possibly held over a weekend, would provide the opportunity for this discussion. The Board agreed that it was an excellent idea.

Trustee Ringelstein told Trustee Magnelli that he was doing a great job.

Director Wittmann reported that the Library will offer gift-wrapping for the public this weekend. Up to five gifts may be wrapped per person. The hours are 10:00–4:00 on Saturday and 2:00–5:00 on Sunday.

The next meeting will take place Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 6:55 P.M.

Trustee Ross moved, seconded by Trustee Krebs, THAT THE MEETING BE ADJOURNED. A voice vote was taken and the motion carried. The Meeting was adjourned at 7:58 P.M.
