Donation Guidelines

We accept books, audiobooks, CDs, and DVDs. Donations should be clean, free from writing or coloring, and in good condition.

Please note: We are nor able to accept donations of magazines, VHS tapes, textbooks, or encyclopedias.

All donations become the property of the Eisenhower Library and may be sold at a book sale or recycled. Donations may be brought to the library during regular business hours and placed in the bin marked for book donations. Please do not bring more items than you can carry into the library at one time. For larger donations please call 708-867-7828 to make an appointment.

If you need a receipt for tax purposes, the Library will provide one. We cannot, however, assign a dollar value to your donation.

Currently, most donations are being passed on to Discover Books for resale, redistribution, and recycling. Other options for donating books are suggested below.
