Facebook Book Club: We Love You, Charlie Freeman

November, 2021.

Join us in the Eisenhower Library Book Club Group on Facebook, a place to read and discuss books with our community. We’ll choose a new book every month and share discussion questions, author interviews, recommended read-a-likes, and anything else we can think of to enhance your reading experience. Share your thoughts as you read the book.

This month’s book is We Love You, Charlie Freeman by Kaitlyn Greenidge.

The Freeman family has been invited to the Toneybee Institute to participate in a research experiment. They will live in an apartment on campus with Charlie, a young chimp abandoned by his mother. They are to teach Charlie sign language and welcome him as a member of their family. But when the truth about the institute’s history of questionable studies is revealed, the secrets of the past invade the present in devious ways.
