Goldilocks and the Three Bears and the Three Little Pigs on Kanopy Kids

My youngest discovered one of his favorite books on Kanopy Kids today!

In James Marshall’s version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Goldilocks is a gleefully naughty child who is guilty of gluttony, disobeying her parents, and breaking and entering.

The recorded storytime video catches all the details of the illustrated tale, and the whole family was cracking up at Joyce Ebert’s slightly scandalized narration.

If you enjoy new, slightly twisted takes on fairy tales, we also really enjoyed Jon Scieszka’s The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. Paul Giamatti narrates the classic story as the Big Bad Wolf, who claims he is not a villain, but simply a misunderstood neighbor looking to borrow a cup of sugar.

Catch these video and others on Kanopy Kids, available to Norridge and Harwood Heights residents through Kanopy.
