Have you been wishing to escape away into a magical fantasy land lately? I know I have.
J.K. Rowling has launched a movement called Harry Potter at Home, making the series far more accessible to everyone as we navigate through these difficult times. What does that mean for us
Overdrive and others have joined in on this movement. You can now read or listen to the first Harry Potter book via Libby/Overdrive or Hoopla Digital, without the wait. On Overdrive, the book is available in multiple different languages, too.
Like many, I grew up reading the Harry Potter books, over and over again. A few years ago, when my daily commute increased, I decided to listen to them all. Jim Dale’s enormous range of characterizations throughout the audiobooks makes me feel like I am listening to a theatrical presentation, and is intensely engaging. However, if you have listened to the books before, you probably have not heard them like this! The English audiobook available for immediate download is the British version, narrated by the well-known actor and comedian, Stephen Fry. He’s a wonderful narrator with a delightful cadence, and I cannot wait to check this version out!
