SWAN Direct Loans

Eisenhower is a member of SWAN, an organization of libraries sharing collections of books, music, movies, and data. If we do not currently have what you are looking for on our shelves at Eisenhower, we may be able to request delivery from another library. Though not guaranteed, delivery usually takes about 7-10 days. You will be called or emailed when your materials arrive.

Illinois-Wide Loans

In the event that your materials are unavailable from any SWAN library, we may be able to request the item from one of the other libraries in Illinois. Any in-state (but out of SWAN) requests will take at least 2 weeks to deliver.

This service is available only to residents of Norridge and Harwood Heights.

Out-of-State Loans

In the event that your materials are unavailable from any Illinois libraries, we may be able to borrow the item from a library outside of Illinois. Any out-of-state requests will take at least 2 weeks to deliver if we are able to locate the item and if the holding library will agree to send it.

This service, available only to residents of Norridge and Harwood Heights, costs $5.00 per item plus any charges for overdue, lost, or damaged items as determined by the lending library.
