Part Time Interlibrary Loan Clerk
Reports to the Head of Library Services
The Eisenhower Public Library is seeking an Interlibrary Loan Clerk for the Library Services Department. Interlibrary Loan Clerks are responsible for materials loaning services. This position requires utilizing multiple databases including OCLC WorldShare to procure patron requests. Interlibrary loan clerks process materials and prepare them for circulation and notify patrons of the status of their requests. Interlibrary loan clerks also perform all circulation duties including checking books out to patrons, checking books in, making library cards, answering the telephone, and other related duties within the Library Services Department.
The ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys working with the public and has a good sense of humor. Other desirable qualities would include being highly organized and working well in a fast paced environment. Must enjoy working as part of a team. Familiarity with WorldShare and previous customer service experience a plus. Fluency in Polish or Spanish a plus.
This is a part-time position and applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule – including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
