Jarrett Dapier is an author, librarian, and lifelong drummer. His books include Jazz for Lunch, a finalist for the Ezra Jack Keats award; The Most Haunted House in America, a rhyming romp about drumming at the White House; and Mr. Watson’s Chickens, chosen by NPR and Bookpage as a best book of 2021 and challenged repeatedly for including gay characters.
