“Only my hand is asleep, but it’s a start.”
This book of poetry is a very quick read because all the poems are very small, but also packed very tightly with both wit and wisdom. These poems are not haiku or limerick, but are definitely a style all their own using condensed emotions and concepts with a special flair that is only Billy Collins.
I’ve read a lot of poetry recently for a reading challenge. Out of all the ones I read recently (twenty books), this one is my favorite!
It will not take much time to read this, but it is well worth the time spent.
