After years in development, the highly anticipated new series The Sandman, based on Neil Gaiman’s seminal comics series, hit Netflix last week!
In the books and the series, Morpheus, the eternal personification of dreams, sets out across mystical realms to regain his power after a century of being held captive by a human sorcerer.
The original series ran for 75 issues (collected into ten volumes) between 1989 and 1996. It made it onto the New York Times Bestseller List, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest comics ever published.
