We are super excited to announce a new way of getting an Eisenhower Library card, something that is sorely needed in this time of the Coronavirus stay-at-home order: instant online library card registration.
If you’re a resident of Norridge or Harwood Heights and you’re over 13, you can fill out a simple web form and get an online Eisenhower library card immediately.
For 90 days, this new online-only card will give you access to all of our digital materials and apps. Borrow ebooks and audiobooks with Libby/Overdrive, ebooks, audiobooks, movies, TV shows, music, and comics with Hoopla, digital magazines with Flipster, and animated kids books with TumbleBooks. Learn a new language with Mango Languages. Check on your investment portfolio with Morningstar. Get help with your homework or resume with Tutor.com. Discover your new favorite author with BookBrowse or Novelist.
While you’re trapped in the house spend some time exploring those, and all of our online resources.
Once your 90 days are up, you’ll be asked to convert your online-only card to a physical card, allowing you to borrow books, movies, games, and more from Eisenhower’s collection and the collections of nearly 100 libraries across Illinois while continuing to enjoy our digital resources.
We’ve wanted to offer online card registration for a very long time and are extremely grateful to the entire staff of SWAN, for working so hard to make this possible. We hope it makes it easier for you to get an Eisenhower card and take advantage of everything that your library has to offer.
