Register for Kids Summer Reading Today!

Registration for Summer Reading is now open for kids 12 years old and younger.

Get your “Reading Ticket” at the Kids Desk and start logging in the minutes you spend reading. Starting June 11th, you may come once a week to turn in your “Ticket” to earn a prizes.

Read as much as you can! There will be a weekly prize for each time you turn in your “Ticket.” Reach an overall total of 500 minutes to get a certificate, one book prize, and one raffle ticket or Ice Cream Social Pass. Total 1,000 minutes and earn a second book prize.

You don’t have to only read print Library books. Books on CD, Playaways, Nooks, and downloadable eBooks all count towards your Summer Reading minutes. If you read a book aloud, all the listeners can also record the time in their Summer Reading logs. You can even read the same book again and again!

If you don’t like a book, you don’t have to finish it. Write down how long you were reading it, and move to the next one. It’s the minutes that count!
