We recently became aware of an email scam that appears to be an overdue notice from the “Norridge Public Library”. Despite using the wrong library name, the email may appear official. It is not.
The fraudulent email from “publiclibrary@notice-compliance.gov” is a known scam requesting $97.14 for an overdue copy of The Da Vinci Code. If you receive this email, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK TO PAY!
At Eisenhower, Norridge and Harwood Heights residents are not charged late fees for overdue items. Any bills for replacement of lost items, or fines for library users living outside of our district, are paid in-person at the Library Services Desk or on your account in the online library catalog. You will never be sent an email that includes a link to pay a fine.
This scam email is in no way connected to any Eisenhower Library accounts or confidential patron information.
