Shine Your Icy Crown by Amanda Lovelace

Shine Your Icy Crown

“Do not plan your life so meticulously that you leave no space for starlight to leak in – miracles happen only if you let them.”

Amanda Lovelace writes empowering poetry that tells girls and women that you do not need a knight in shining armor because you are a queen already. You are your own savior.

While her message is uplifting, she does not shy away from women’s issues in life. Her poems deal with sexism, toxic relationships, child abuse, anxiety, depression, and bullying.

I read another book last year by Amanda Lovelace called Break Your Glass Slippers and I found that very empowering as well.

Her series of books is called “women are some kind of magic” and after reading her poetry, you do feel a bit magical.
