The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins consists of three main characters: Rachel, Megan, and Anna. Rachel is an alcoholic, divorced woman who loves riding the train. While she is on the train, she observes and sees many things happening. However, since she is drunk most of the time she is not exactly sure what she sees. Next, there is Megan who has a mysterious past and is not sure what she wants other than having affairs. Nevertheless, one day, she goes missing and no one knows if she is off with one of her secret boyfriends or did something serious happen to her? Then there is Anna, after so long of being the “other woman” is finally happily married to Tom with their daughter Evie. However, her husband’s ex-wife, Rachel, will not leave her and her family alone. She is sure that Rachel is dangerous and has something to do with Megan’s disappearance.
This Audie Award winning, audiobook is incredible, with transitions of hearing Rachel, Megan, and Anna’s perspectives throughout the book.
