Polish Heritage Book Club: The Greatest Battle

Thursday, August 09, 2018, 3:00 PM.

Join us every other month for an English-language book discussion group focused on literature related to Poland and Polish culture. This month we’re discussing The Greatest Battle by Andrew Nagorski.

The battle for Moscow was the biggest battle of World War II, yet it is far less known than Stalingrad, which involved about half the number of troops. Drawing on declassified documents, accounts of survivors, and reports of Western correspondents, The Greatest Battle illuminates the clash between two systems based on terror and relentless slaughter.
