If you could find out when you were going to die, would you?
This family saga begins with the children of New York’s Gold family visiting a fortune teller on a boring summer day. One by one the children enter her apartment and find out the exact day they will die. Is this a curse or a gift? Or does it become a self–fulfilling prophecy? The book follows each sibling in the order of their predicted deaths.
How does knowing when they will die impact the way they live their lives? Does the knowledge of their death change the way they live and the choices they make? Each character gets their own story, which we know comes to an end. The journey to each of those ends makes for interesting reading.
