We’ve had a lot of luck with great TV series based on nook series lately. Game of Throwns, Outlander, Justified, and Orange is the New Black are just a few of the shows adapted from books that have been big successes in recent years.
Television producers have apparently been paying attention because there’s a whole new batch of book adaptations headed for the small screen in 2017. Get a jump on everyone else by reading the books before the shows come out.
The Handmaid’s Tale
Margaret Atwood’s dystopian classic is coming to Hulu in April. In the near future, America has fallen under the control of a misogynist government that forces women into virtual slavery to serve as “birthing vessels” for the wealthy. The show has a great cast led by Elizabeth Moss and Joseph Fiennes and is expected to be great.
