This memoir, We Fed an Island: The True Story of Rebuilding Puerto Rico, One Meal at a Time recounts the chef’s attempts to feed as many people as possible under seemingly impossible conditions with his non-profit World Central Kitchen.
To quote Chef Andrés, “This was not a far-away country on another continent. This was American soil… All we wanted to do was feed the people.”
