We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

We Were Liars

When Candace Sinclair was fifteen, something terrible happened, giving her a head injury that causes excruciating headaches. But Candace doesn’t remember what that thing was.

Now at age seventeen, she’s back on the island where her family lives every summer. She still suffers headaches but she hopes that this time, with the help of “The Liars” (her cousins Mirren and Johnny and their best friend Gat) she’ll finally remember.

But what Candace discovers is unbelievable. And since, Candace is such an unreliable narrator we have a hard time figuring out what’s true and what isn’t.
