What is The OA?

It looks like Netflix’s new series The OA is turning out to be the Stranger Things of the winter. A surprise show released without any major fanfare, the eight episode series has still managed to get everyone talking and theorizing.

Starring and co-created by Britt Marling, The OA is a mystery-thriller. Seven years after vanishing, a blind woman returns home, her eyesight inexplicably restored. How did she regain her sight? Why did she disappear and what happened to her during those seven years? Why does she insist on being called The OA?

If you’d love to watch The OA, but don’t subscribe to Netflix, you can place a hold on one of our Roku Media Players which provide access to our Netflix account.

For more from actor/writer Britt Marling, take a look at Another Earth, Sound of My Voice, and The East.
