We love movies at Eisenhower and it shows in our programming.
Every other Thursday afternoon, film scholar Ralph Amelio offers a look behind the scenes of Hollywood’s golden age with a presentation of a classic film, and a fun, fact-filled talk. In contrast, our Modern Times Film Series focuses on screenings and discussions of newly released movies. For the entire family, join us for Movie Mondays, presentations of kid-friendly movies with free popcorn!
We’re proud of our movie collection, too. On our shelves you’ll find everything from foreign films and classics to the newest blockbusters. Our interlibrary loan program gives you access to around 50,000 movies on DVD and more than 4,000 on Blu-ray disc. We’re also looking to the future of digital media with streaming movies at hoopladigital.com. Sign into Hoopla with your library card number to watch movies on your computer, tablet or smart phone.
To really celebrate our of love of movies, we’re holding our annual Predict the Oscars contest. Make your best guesses and turn in your entry form before our first-ever After Hours Awards Party for a chance to win movie-themed prize packages.
